Google Ads API Usage

GrowthGenie connects to your Google Ads account through Google OAuth 2.0 and uses the Google Ads API to power its analytics and budget optimization features. Our use of the Google Ads API includes:

Read access (Reporting). We retrieve campaign performance data — impressions, clicks, cost, conversions, and budget pacing — using the Google Ads API reporting services. This data powers Leadership View reporting, Deep Diver performance analytics, and Budget Optimizer recommendations.

Write access (Campaign Management). We apply daily budget changes to existing Search, Performance Max, and Shopping campaigns. Every budget change is explicitly reviewed and approved by the user inside GrowthGenie before it is sent to Google Ads. GrowthGenie never makes autonomous changes to your account.

Authorization. Access is granted through Google’s standard OAuth 2.0 consent flow. Users may revoke access at any time, after which stored credentials are permanently deleted.

How It Works

1. Connect. You authorize GrowthGenie to access your Google Ads account through Google’s secure OAuth 2.0 flow.

2. Analyze. GrowthGenie reads your campaign performance data and decomposes it — surfacing what’s driving results across accounts and identifying where budgets are constraining efficient campaigns or where spend is running inefficiently.

3. Recommend. The platform surfaces clear, plain-language insights and budget recommendations — what’s working, what isn’t, which campaigns to scale, by how much, and why.

4. Approve. You review each budget recommendation and approve it before any change is made. Only then does GrowthGenie apply the change through the Google Ads API.

We take the security of your advertising data seriously. OAuth credentials are encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption and are never stored in plaintext. We do not sell or share your data with third parties. Each account’s data is strictly isolated, and you retain full control — you can disconnect your Google Ads account at any time, and all stored credentials are permanently deleted. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
